Earthquake + tsunami

I'm alright. The earthquake hit the CIE building and we felt the ground moving for a minute or so but no buildings were destroyed. Hirakata is not near coast so there's no fear of tsunami at the area.
Now let's hope that the after shocks are not strong. At the moment it seems that all the after shocks are under 6 Mag. You can see there has been Read more... )

Oh, I am so damn glad that you're okay! I've seen so many horrible pictures on TV already, it gave me the chills. Oh gosh, I really, really hope this nuclear power plant will stay stable...

Yes the tv pictures are shocking. I'm really worried about the power plants... Let's hope they get electricity working as soon as possible.
This really changes Japan... after this become mourning.-_-

That is a relief, hun! I've come out of the LJ shadows temporarily, to make sure all my Japan bound friends are safe & sound. I wish there was more I could do than from afar.

It's all so...devastating, watching the tsunami hit was damn eerie, it engulfed like lava. Ugh, all those beautiful farms... :(

But, ironically tragedies like these tend to create uniformity, so I am confident Japan with receive the aid they need to rebuild. It helps that the country is quake conscious in the first place too! Just hope they continue to oversee the fires & power plants...

Are there any aid efforts organizing near you? It's hopeful to see so many communities banding together to help.

Yeah I'm ok, frightened of course but ok. We were actually watching live news of how water swept away big ships, lifting then just up to the parking lots. Also this morning there are more news about the tsunami, buildings floating in the water in Sendai like toys. What a terrible thing to see..

There's already food and electricity sent into coast and I'm sure many Japanese want to volunteer to help the area. For example electricity is being saved in order to redirect it to power plants.
Ah, terrible.... I hope they get the power plants working as soon as possible.-_-
