Regardless, I think that age is not an issue at all.
Instead you should be focused on (as said inthe other comments) your own desire / drive to be a part of this program.
Do you feel passionate about art and creating?
Whether or not people think you are good at drawing, do you *enjoy* drawing?
Ask yourself a few questions about how you feel about animation as an art from or how big of a role you want to have in creating animations / art in general.
