Well, I was... I just changed back a little while ago...

Um, they were just left out in the middle of the lobby of Bryant Park Hotel.

...They were just there? No sign, no person, nothing?

Well, at least you changed back...I was worried something may have followed me here.

No, they were just sitting there, and there were about a dozen people in that lobby.

Wait, stuff like this happens where you're from?

Uh...sort of. But it's a bit more devistating, and doesn't wear off on it's own.

And where I'm from, people are usually a little cautious of food just showing up out of nowhere.

...why were there so many people there, anyway?

Guess that'd apply to me, huh?

Ate a cookie at Bryant Park Hotel. Don't know who put 'em out, but I grew down a couple years. I think this is 'bout the size I was when I was twelve or thirteen...

You should be changing back anytime now, Miss Kaylee, how much later did you eat your cookie?

Don't know how far after I ate it...

I'm really hopin' I change back soon. Cap'n's startin' to call me pet names.

And you didn't think it strange in a place with a limited food supply that there were just cookies in a hotel?

Oh, I got one of those cookies. It made me older. They were just left on a table in the lobby where I live. I didn't see who left them out, though...Riku and I got rid of the rest of 'em.

And you can probably find some notebooks at any of those big bookstores still standing.

...well, there goes that lead.

Yeah, I've found about five book stores and an office supply store. But those that don't look like they were crushed were gutted or burned.

Huh? What lead?

It is a pretty big city! We've found stuff like pens and notebooks and sketchbooks before, from stores that weren't looted. And even the ones that were looted sometimes still have stuff left.

I need to find out who put out the cookies to find out if they did this on purpose or if whatever changed people was an accident. The last thing we need is something like that spreading.

Yeah, it is a big city. What I need more than a notebook, though, is a gun. I've misplaced mine and I really don't want to end up somewhere I might need one and only have a crowbar.

Although I'm surprised to be sought, I speak when spoken of.

....You must be V...

I just need to know if you got the age-changing cookie that you gave to someone from the Bryant Park Hotel, like everyone else.

I am indeed. To be fair, might I have your name in turn?

As of late, I haven't had time to give or take any baked goods.

Ah, I'm Jack Carter.

Hm...one of those effected said you have been with him earlier and given him the thing he ate that made him age ten years all of a sudden.

You mean the Masked Man, V? He and I have been working on something for a while. He normally is around the network, so you'll probably catch his attention with this.

Uh, yeah. He got in touch with me, thanks.

....is this 'something' the sort of something I should be worried about?
