And the town around it is absolutely charming.
S- Why, do you think, am I that eager to visit the UK once again?! For London's sake, sure- but I'd love to see much more than London alone. Ireland, Scotland (highlands included)- you name it. Why not Canterbury, then? :-)

Actually, they are quite wise to appreciate what they have, but
in the heart of their hearts (and especially, when on a visit in Europe) they must realize that it's not EXACTLY the same...In my personal opinion, skyscrapers are attractive in their own way but in the course of time their attraction becomes somewhat monotonous. Hardly the case with all those auld buildings :-)
And completely off-topic: what would you say to a following observation: "he was so voracious that he would gladly devour even his own remnants!" ?
