One day, Sherlock changed the pills around and hid his deadly ones amongst the Advil and Tylonal.
Of course the one day Sherlock isn't home, John managed to bang himself up pretty bad.

He takes enough pills to soothe his aches- except they're not the pills he needs. They're drugs. Harsh drugs.

(either hallucinogetic drugs, or John OD's and Sherlock finds him passed out)

Not the OP, but holy hell this is a great start already! I love the dialogue. And seconding the other comment about a great explanation for John taking the wrong pills. I get migraines with aura and the aura part is worse than the headache for me. It's so annoying because you can see but at the same time you CAN'T see. It's the most frustrating phenomena ever.

Can't wait for more of this!

As experiments go, it could be a lot worse, Sherlock mused. His initial thoughts hadn't been quite so calm (after all, Sherlock had packed those capsules himself, with bromo-mescaline, intending to take a mental holiday next time that John spent the night at Sarah's), but this way, he could gain valuable insight on the subject of John Watson, a subject with unexpected depth ( ... )

Very much in character, and just a tad bit heartless - oh well, John accidentally took drugs, might as well let him be the lab rat for the afternoon! (I guess it's not like he can do anything else, though.)
