Sherlock put his hands on John's shoulders and tried to push him away. "John - stop. Please. It's been too long."

John didn't even bother replying verbally - just shook his head, tightened his jaw and kept pumping.

The ambulance would be here any minute now, any minute, and he'd be damned if Lestrade was going to die on his watch...
