I just had a big "duh" thought, but really, let's emphasise the fact that Sherlock apparently likes to SLEEP IN THE NUDE. WITHOUT PANTS. Please, meme, do something with this information.

Gen or pre-slash preferred, just to rule out the obvious explanations. ;)

John sat down again and tried to get back into the article he had read, but it didn't work.

"Sorry, but could you put something on?"

Sherlock looked at him. "I could," he said archly. John could tell, he was bored enough to make this into the kind of bickering argument that could last the whole day. "Why does it bother you?"

"It doesn't bother me. It's just... weird. And it's February and the flat is kind of draughty, so I thought..."

"I don't feel a draught," Sherlock interrupted him.

"Yeah well, you would be the first one to notice," John bit out. They were silent for a while, then John decided that couldn't let Sherlock bait him if he wanted him to wear any clothes at some point today.

"So," he said. "You often sleep naked?"

"Yes." Sherlock folded the paper and put it back on the table, apparently happy to have John's attention again. John held his gaze firmly at Sherlock's face. "I find it more comfortable."

He leaned back until his chair was balancing on two legs and John could see everything. "If you can't be naked in ( ... )

Aaaand it is now part of my headcannon that this incident happens before Scandal, and John's first thought upon seeing (nekkid!)Irene is, 'Oh, god, not another one.'

Whoa, I'd forgotten about this prompt! Anon, you've put a big smile on my face, and I have to agree with the others... this doesn't actually seem that cracky to me. Which is a perfectly wonderful thing, you know. XD

"Ah," Sherlock made again. "Because you're usually looking at me, but now you think it's inappropriate, because I-"

"I'm not usually-" John faltered. "The kitchen, Sherlock!"
