Sherlock confronting his asexuality

Sherlock has feelings for John, he honestly couldn't imagine his life without him. So after realising that John feels that way too they enter a romantic relationship together.

Sherlock has never wanted to be with anyone before and it's amazing to be so close to John, he can even tolerate the quite frankly odd sensation of kissing for the chance to show John how much he cares.

One night he finds himself in bed with John and although he believes he loves him, having another body writhing on top of his, tugging at sheets and blocking his breath is just awkward. But he knows that a sexual connection is something that John wants so he tries to just lie back and enjoy it, but honestly he can't. Because it's weird and awkward and uncomfortable and not-at-all enjoyable. And somehow he has to tell John that no matter how close they are, he just doesn't want to have sex.

tl:dr- Sherlock is asexual but thinks he could enjoy a sexual relationship for John's sake, but when it comes down to it he realises that he really doesn't want to have

Have you tried checking the delicious archive, because there are definitely a couple of fills like this where Sherlock tries sex with John, but just doesn't like it. They're usually pretty angsty though. Were you looking for something different?

Will have much love for whomever writes this. Working through my own issues with this, and all the other versions are indeed depressing. A happy ending would make everyone's day.
