Sherlock has never ever considered a relationship with anyone before he met John. he has never been attracted to anyone, romantically or physically. He was content to be alone and was convinced he would always be that way.

Now he wants John. Wants to be with him and have a physical relationship with him.

But he doesn't want to want John and fights against his feelings.
