AU in which John (reading medicine or not), no older than early twenties, becomes flatmates and quickly falls head over heels with late-thirties Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective, who cannot help but return the sentiment.

Bonus points:
+ Sherlock is on the tail end of getting clean and John is that one last, most important incentive.
+ Lestrade is a somewhat paternal figure for Sherlock and along with Mycroft (but no Mystrade!), knowing Sherlock for a junkie and completely irresponsible, Does Not Approve.
+ Porn.
+ If you could fit in an angsty background for John (e.g abusive relationship/parents he's running from) you may have all of my babies.
