TW: Suicide anonymous January 16 2012, 17:13:19 UTC
So... Sherlock looked pretty horrified when he realized Jim was about to shoot himself - and not damn, there goes my way out of this horrified, but spur-of-the-moment, shocked, shit shit shit back the fuck away from him horrified.

And he was a bit... frantic about stopping Henry from killing himself in Hounds.

The Prompt: Five times Sherlock witnessed someone taking their own life (and one time he nearly did the same, maybe?)

It doesn't actually have to be a Five Times (+1) fic, just... something along those lines. Please.

(Yes, Mycroft, I suppose Heidegger could be involved somehow...)

Oh god, how did I not notice the frantic ways he stops one suicide and witnesses another, how.
This prompt makes so much sense it hurts: seconded!

Why is it this one that makes me actually want to write my very first sherlock fic? Oh anon, what have you done to me? *runs off to google docs*

He was young. He didn't know better, couldn't have known better. He knew something was wrong and at five years old, couldn't explain what it was or why ( ... )

Thanks, I really don't know what happened. I'm usually sweetness and light but well, I guess the muse decided it wanted to try something new.

Wow, that one stings, but it very well-written. I could really see Sherlock noticing the signs but not seeing why it would be important to bring them to anybody's attention; he solves mysteries and stops people from killing other people. A suicide has no mystery and no perpetrator outside of the victim, so it would not interest him at all.

Great character piece.
