Joha and Sherlock are helping Lestrade catch a serial killer who rapes and tortures his victims before letting them bleed to death. After the third victim is discovered, Sherlock and John head out alone to investigate some leads. Five hours later, Lestrade gets a text from Sherlock informing him of new crime scene. He takes Sally and rushes to the location. Upon entering the dark building, he sees that there is a body on the floor, and Sherlock is standing in a corner looking a bit pale. He starts by saying that the body is their killer, and that he killed him. Then he begins to deduce the room, talking about the victim and describing what happened, that the victim had been lucky enough to break a thumb and slip one of the cuffs before the fatal blow had been delivered. He informs them that John is upstairs, and Lestrade assumes he is with the victim. He tells Sherlock he's going to have to bring him in, since he killed the guy, and leaves Sally to handle that part while he goes upstairs to find John. Sally, with vicious glee

I think it's up to you, tsukichibi! I love the missunderstanding aspect of this prompt...it takes it out of the straight noncon bit to have them treat him like his usual arrogant self until they realize- wait a sec.. hey, victim here.. VICTIM here. Never seen this before and want it bad. I'm positive you can do it justice.

I'm excited for you potentially filling this. Even more so because I know your tendency to write Lestrade as acting paternally to Sherlock, which I love.

Add me to the cheerleading section as well. Pleased to see this prompt filled in the first place, and definitely pleased to see it filled by tsukichibi.

This prompt is so perfect I can see the whole thing in my head. To not have the full story feels like listening to a piece of music without the final chord!

OP here, I forgot to add that as a bonus. Sally trying to give first aid to a combative and shocky Sherlock while yelling for Lestrade to hurry it up cause they need a doctor.

He's gone and called the freak in again.
Sally fumes silently for days as they work on the case. She exchanges a few words with the freak as per course but other than that she doesn't say a word about it or him. Once or twice she catches Lestrade looking at her nervously, like he's waiting for her to explode, but he seems to know better than to ask and so he doesn't bring it up. Smart of him, Lestrade's always had good instincts, because if she gets the chance to unload on just how furious she is... well. It will likely end with a suspension.
Just once. Just once she wants to be able to solve a high profile case using the resources of their own team without depending on the freak for help
