"Seen a lot of injuries, then? Violent deaths?"
"Well, yes."
"Bit of trouble too, I bet."
"Of course, yes. Enough for a lifetime. Far too much." (The war, Harry, then the robots, oh god the awful robots, storming in, why him)
And for a moment, John was looking at Sherlock, and the smile on Sherlock's face - well, it was enough that he was smiling. This pale, alien, wonderful man seemed like the sort who never took the time to smile, never found a reason to - caught up in his own brilliance, saving the world one mystery by boring mystery.
"Want to see some more?"
"Oh, God, yes," John heard himself say, grinning broadly.
Sherlock's small smile slowly lengthened into a smirk. "Excellent!" he proclaimed, and he ran to the fireplace, flipping over the skull -
"NO!" John shouted. Don't go, don't leave me alone - He ducked to the fireplace, eyes searching through the flames - and there, the glint of dark hair and inhuman beauty, and the most wonderful eyes, of such intelligence and going on forever, of time itself

I'm really not sure if I should thank you or try to throw a pillow at you. Maybe I'll find a fluffly pillow that says "Thank you".
But hgnnnnnnnnnnn, that was awful, and LOVELY, and I want more and I want to die. Why, oh WHY did you do this to me? I was so happy this morning, and in less than a minute it's just... gone *wails*
BRB, I need to go and cry a couple of rivers... But seriously, this was perfect and fantastic and BRILLIAN and I may hate you a little, but mostly I love you forever.
