Domestic Abuse

Lestrade's gay. Nobody knows - it's still pretty frowned upon in the police force and Sherlock honestly hasn't paid all that much attention to the DI's private life.
Despite this, there's no real problem. He's in a nice relationship and nobody's got any reason to suspect that something's up.
That is, until Lestrade start turning up to work with black eyes and split lips, and is acting rather skittish and seems really reluctant to go home. Then Holmes starts paying attention
Basically, I would like Lestrade to be in midst of an abusive relationship, Sherlock and John notice and as things begin to get really out of control, come to the rescue
John/Lestrade/Sherlock would be awesome but is up to you

Oooh! Damn it, it may mean I'm evil, but I love the idea, and I'm going to try and write it! Please don't let that stop anybody else from giving it a go though, since heaven knows whether I'll actually manage it.

If you write this, I'll - I'll...first born to your liking, a soul perhaps - cookies, it can all be yours :) I would love to read whatever you come up with
PS If you're evil, what does that make me, I'm the one that came up with the idea :)
Ok, first time writing Sherlock, and it's probably rubbish, but hope you enjoy anyway? This may become a threesome, if I can psych myself up enough to write it. More coming soon

Don't be so negative anon! It's not rubbish. I was considering trying this prompt myself but this is so much better than anything I could do. Can't wait to read more!

The first time Daniel hits him, he is too shocked to react, just staring at the other man - his boyfriend - without saying a word, face throbbing from the impact. He thinks, distantly, that he hadn’t known Daniel knew how to throw a proper punch. Rationally, he knows this is an insane thing to be thinking, but the thought circles round and round. It never even occurs to him to retaliate. He isn’t even sure what caused it. He goes and gets an ice pack from the freezer on autopilot, and then Daniel is fussing over him, apologising. He pushes it aside, knows that people lose their temper, and sometimes act badly for it

The first time Sherlock notices something has changed, it is because Lestrade has come into work for the third day in a row with some kind of injury. The first was a black eye, the second a bruised wrist. Today he is limping.
He ponders saying something, asking, but when does he ever do that? No, he will learn all he needs to simply by observing. That has never failed him.
As it happens, John asks anyway. ‘Are you alright?’ The limp is slight, though it’s probable he noticed it, either due to his own psychosomatic one or because he is a doctor. He is gesturing to the fading bruise on Lestrade’s face, though, so Sherlock can’t be sure.
The inspector stills for a moment, before shaking his head ruefully. ‘Tripped over the cat, landed on a chair. Not my finest moment.’
Sherlock is almost certain that Lestrade is lying, but not completely sure. His eyes narrow. He will have to watch the man more closely if he is to deduce the mystery he presents.

This is so awesome it hurts. I love that you took this prompt up, i love how it's going, I love John's concern. And I fucking love your Lestrade. Can't wait to see more. I'm hoping you carry it to a threesome. Not usually my thing, but I'm super curious about it with these three.

Aww, thank you! Glad you like Lestrade :D And yeah, I'm going to try with a threesome, I think, though I doubt it'll end up anywhere explicit. It's not something I often read, but I really like the idea of John/Sherlock/Lestrade.
Well it's official, I'm in love with you. I know we've not met, but please marry me!!!...no? well at least call me if you ever need an organ of some sort, Kidney, Lung - they're all yours for doing this.
Thankyou so much for filling this, this is so fantastic I just. Ok - calm down *takes deep breath*
Right, well, the characterisation is brilliant, and I just love how you've illustrated the progression from happy relationship to the unhealthy one, it's very beleivable.
Right, well I'm sitting at the edge of my seat, please update soon and thankyou again :)
Thank you!! That really means a lot :D And thanks for the brilliant prompt, too, glad you think I'm doing it justice. Next bit will be up really, really soon.
