Mycroft's version of the "you break his heart, I break you" speech. Of course, with him, poisoned tea, assassination attempts, and complete erasure of the lover's identity are not out of the question. And that's if he's not feel especially sadistic (re: cat with mouse) that day.
Or, alternatively, as part of his "case out anyone who gets close to Sherlock" schtick, the second plan (after trying to bring the person with money) is to try and seduce them.
