John's friends throw a party, Sherlock crashes it out of boredom. He and John end up locked in the closet together, told to kiss: but John is all, politely, "We can just pretend," because Sherlock is a good four years younger than he, and Sherlock is pacing around muttering about how moronic this game is and then suddenly yanks John into a kiss, then starts pounding on the door demanding to be let out.

It turns out it's Sherlock's first kiss, and he was definitely not expecting to get a crush on this older boy from the wrong side of town.

um. i apologize for this. i wanted to make it a simple fill but my brain got in the way and decided to cockblock me with copious amounts of plot.
this is supposed to be a british high school au (sorry, i just couldn't see them as americans!), which is why they refer to each other by their last names. sorry for any britishfails. harry is john's twin. er. just read.
i haven't written the next part yet. if you guys like this, i'll continue!

Sherlock Holmes. He was an anomaly, to say the least. 14 years old, and at the top of his form, which was of course the same as John’s. He probably could have graduated at 12 if he weren’t so partial to the school’s top-notch lab facilities. Rumor had it that his older brother Mycroft, also a genius, paid him to run experiments for his thesis research. God alone knew what he used the money for ( ... )
