John/Lestrade, established relationship. Lestrade gets the shit kicked out of him by a gang, and winds up in hospital. John is, understandably, not best pleased by this. H/C to the absolute max, but with a happy ending. Not like that, you big pervs.
Extra credit for: - Scared!John, getting quite vocal in his displeasure at not being allowed to see Greg right away at the hospital. Superbonuspoints if he is restrained by Sherlock. - Sleeping!boys. - Greg, very hazy thanks to pain meds, waking up to John and Sherlock bickering over his bed.
If someone writes this, I will buy you a goddamn pony.

“Why aren't you his emergency contact?” Sherlock asked suddenly after over half an hour of silence.
John pulled himself out of his thoughts regarding just how difficult it would be to wrangle the needed names out of Greg or Sally to answer the consulting detective’s question.
“It hasn’t quite been two months, Sherlock. Not very long, as relationships go.”
“You and Lestrade are both very serious men. You’d known each other and been close for several months before you made the decision to become involved. You’re both ridiculously responsible; therefore I doubt you would have elected to cease using protection over three weeks ago if you weren’t in it for, as they say, ‘the long haul’. Lestrade listing you as his emergency contact seems a trivial step in comparison.”
John should have been used to it at this point. He really should have - but he wasn’t. “How did you…never mind. No, really. I’m sure I don’t want to know

Yay for Sherlock getting them in to see Lestrade! I'm dying to know what happened and how he is...
I really, really love your characterizations here. Sherlock giving both John and Lestrade credit for being awesome, responsible men... and obviously being cool with them being together, too, which I love to see. I also really liked John's concern over first taking care of Greg (and I suspect he's right, that the hard-working DI will be a difficult patient), and then exacting righteous revenge on those who hurt his man. Nicely done indeed.
