Mmm, Lestrade's voice...

Lestrade sings to John. Whether it's at a drunken kareoke night, in front of half the Yard with John half dying of embarrassment and half rather turned on, or just at home, during a quiet domestic afternoon doing the dishes.
And then, because it's those two, there is making out, and gentle mocking, and tea and sex.

TWO
John made a token attempt to get Sherlock to join him, but is predictably brushed off. Not predicted was the ominous threat that followed him out the door.
"Whatever you do, John, do not bring him back here. You won't like the consequences

FILL 2: 5 Times Greg Lestrade Serenaded John Watson (2b)stickstockstoneMarch 23 2011, 13:39:45 UTC
John doesn't hear the name of the song above Lestrade's holler of surprise, but he does manage to peel himself away from his side and give him an encouraging shove up to the stage. The glare he gets in return is blistering and only slightly off the mark, and Greg manages to keep upright long enough to grab the microphone and mumble, "I'm dedicating this song to you, John!"
And as a piano introduction floats over the din, John finally realizes which song has been dedicated to him and promptly blushes red.
"I can dim the lights and sing you songs full of sa-a-ad things, We can do the tango just for two... I can serenade and gently play on your he-a-art strings, Be a valentino just for youuuu...For all his conviction, he makes a terrible Freddie Mercury, and it'd be awful if it wasn't so funny; John literally aches from laughter. Lestrade throws himself into it, and at some point there's a hip shake that sends the entire crowd roaring. He somehow resists singing along with the guitar solo, but can't manage to not play the air

FILL 2: 5 Times Greg Lestrade Serenaded John Watson (+1)stickstockstoneMarch 23 2011, 13:42:17 UTC
AND ONE
John stands awkwardly at the doorway to Lestrade's office as a repetitive, mechanical beat pulses out of the computer speakers. Lestrade himself is staring, rapt, at the screen- no head bobbing, no singing along- and John is merely confused until lyrics start pounding out with the beat.
"'Cause if you liked it then you should have put a ring on it-"
"Oh no."
"'Cause if you liked it then you should have put a ring on it-"
"Oh God, no." That was finally loud enough to merit Lestrade's attention. His smile is entirely devious, and John's worst fears are immediately confirmed.
"Don’t be mad once you see that he want it-"
John approaches the computer monitor with a caution normally reserved for active land mines. On screen, in front of the e-mail program (displaying an e-mail from Sherlock, with the subject line: Tell him he was warned), a slightly pixilated video shows group of soldiers wearing desert camouflage dancing and gyrating in time to a Beyonce song.

God, I needed those smiles this fic gave me. XD That was numerous kinds of sweet and cracky and awesome, and now I really want to find clips of Graves and/or Freeman singing...
And regarding that last bit?
Lestrade: You know, if this is what happens when you get bored, we need to get you away from Sherlock for a while... John: Shut it.
And then, because it's those two, there is making out, and gentle mocking, and tea and sex.
