WARNING: Non-Con Threesome (L/J/S)

September 28 2011, 02:31:27 UTC
Original Prompt:
Lestrade asks Sherlock for help in tracking down the makers and distributers of a horrifying new drug. It causes euphoria, sexual aggression and amnesia, then without medical help, convulsions, coma and death. There's half a dozen bodies in the morgue, a bunch more in the hospital, and a swathe of victims of the drug users, too high and too sexually wound up to stop themselves.
One evening, Lestrade is over at Baker Street, going over case files while John makes himself a cuppa, and coffee for the other two. It's not long before Lestrade and Sherlock start feeling hot, frustrated, and unusually strung out...
John doesn't realise what's going on until it's too late, and he also knows that if he doesn't somehow get help for his friends, they will die...

From the OP's post on the original part of the fill, they've just started Grad school and have wound up with a massive overload of work that stops them writing. They made the link on the Overflow post early because the original post was about to run out of space and they wanted it to have a link to the continuation so people didn't get lost, but as I understand it, they aren't able to sit down and get any further with the story right at this moment.

He’s released 24 hours later with more pre-emptive antibiotics than he cares to admit to and advisement from his doctor to look into a high fiber diet and stool softeners. Walking is more trouble than he anticipated, but John refuses a cane on principle, and instead shuffles slowly along the edge of the hospital corridors. He’s invisible there- the employees are too busy doing their jobs, everyone else is preoccupied with their own tragedies- but he still can’t release the tension in his shoulders

Mrs. Hudson coos at him incessantly when he finally arrives at Baker Street, and it makes him wonder exactly what she’s been told regarding that evening, if she’s been informed about any of the particulars, of the humiliation, of the violation, or if it’s been glossed by some awkward young constable using words like ‘assault’ or ‘attack

Donovan follows slowly, and has enough sense not to close the door behind her. There’s a distinct lack of seating in John’s bedroom, the desk he uses is downstairs, and any reading he does in his room usually takes place on his bed. She chooses to sit on the corner of the bed nearest to him, approaching very deliberately and sitting down so slowly that the mattress barely jars John at all. Hands in her lap, she picks at her nail polish; John focuses on the glossy flakes that start to litter her skirt in lieu of making eye contact

*raises hand*
I'm still here, and though I don't love the idea of waiting another 6 months, if what I got was as good as this, I'd end up happy. Jesus Christ, anon, way to rip my heart out. You're writing John's reaction as so. very. believable, and so are all the other reactions, and just... wow. More more more please.

I'm still here too (though I can't remember if I'm the op or the oop or not, I suspect I might be one or the other) and I'd like to see this resolved. I've waited far longer than 6 months for continuations before, I'm not about to untrack the thread.

I'm just happy you're continuing, anon! I'd wait forever for excellent hurt/comfort, and this is definitely already in that category for me.
I mostly wanted to see how things played out between John, Sherlock, and Lestrade, but I really like that you've dedicated time to showing the different approaches by everyone else in showing sympathy/offering comfort. It feels uncomfortable and awful and I like that none of it, however well-meaning, is enough.

Bonus points for massive h/c aftermath!
