Original Prompt:

Lestrade asks Sherlock for help in tracking down the makers and distributers of a horrifying new drug. It causes euphoria, sexual aggression and amnesia, then without medical help, convulsions, coma and death. There's half a dozen bodies in the morgue, a bunch more in the hospital, and a swathe of victims of the drug users, too high and too sexually wound up to stop themselves.

One evening, Lestrade is over at Baker Street, going over case files while John makes himself a cuppa, and coffee for the other two. It's not long before Lestrade and Sherlock start feeling hot, frustrated, and unusually strung out...

John doesn't realise what's going on until it's too late, and he also knows that if he doesn't somehow get help for his friends, they will die...

Bonus points for massive h/c aftermath!

Considering the A!A had clearly indicated previously that they are busy with grad school and will finish this when they get the chance, I would much rather you don't.

If you want to do a second fill of your own, that's ok by me, but this story has not been offered up for adoption by the author so it would not be appropriate for anyone else to take it over.

I know you already have your answer, but in the future it might do you good to remember that this sort of thing is not considered okay.

Orphan post is there for the stories that are up for adoption. I guess that if you just simply must, you can ask if some other story is up for adoption as well. But that sort of deadlines for the answer are most definitely not okay. You can't just steal someone's story when they don't get back to you as quickly as you'd like. So even when the a!anon was able to reply to your ultimatum within the time you set, please don't try the same again elsewhere.

It looks like you've been answered, but I just wanted to confirm that it's not okay to take over another author's fic without their consent, even if it may look abandoned. You can use the Orphan Post to find fills that authors have given up for adoption. You can also check the FAQ for clarification on these issues.

Very impressed by this story - would love an update ANY TIME you get around to it. Will wait patiently. Just please please *eventually* some day :)

Just remembered this story and came to re-read it. It's still so good. Not the OP, but I'll just wistfully continue to dream of an update from you, Author Anon
