Sherlock leaves London for a case. While he's gone he keeps in touch with John, and the two begin to share increasingly flirty and emotionally vulnerable texts, emails, etc. and by the time Sherlock returns he's thrilled that he and John are finally ready to embark on a romantic relationship. But when he arrives home John has packed his things and moved out, leaving a bitter, angry handwritten note declaring he never wants to see or hear from Sherlock ever again. This is like the ultimate John/Sherlock angst prompt.
Wow. What a compliment! I also feel like this is the ultimate "Moriarty is an evil bastard who loves his work" prompt. I just imagine him whistling as he walks into his secret communications room and trying not to giggle before he starts talking to John or Sherlock. I mean, an evil plan where he gets to unabashedly flirt with Sherlock and get him all hot and bothered AND belittle John and make him all hurty? It's win/win for Jim.
I think Moriarty would invest in really amazingly top notch voice synthesizers. Stealing voices is his thing.
