Hey everyone!
A while back, someone suggested having a writing fest, and although we really liked the idea, the meme was a bit too hectic at that time, so we decided to wait. We think now might be a good time, so we’d like to know what you think.
Since the meme’s first prompting part was used in a contest last year, this fest would focus on Part 2. However, it wouldn’t be a contest, but an incentive to browse an older part and fill as much as possible within a deadline.
Here are some of the suggestions we had:
1. An anonymous exchange like they had on the
Merlin Kink Meme. People would sign up by listing some prompts from part two they would like to see filled and by announcing what kind of fill they are willing to offer (pairings, genres, kinks, etc). Everyone would receive an assignment and would fill a prompt for that person specifically.
(In this scenario, everyone would be anon until the posting of fills, during which authors could decide to de-anon. During sign-up, along with a list of prompts, everyone would include two random words to “identify” them. So I could fill a prompt for “Red Blizzard” without knowing who that person is).
2. A fest like the one they had on the
Cabin Pressure Meme. People would nominate fills from part two they would like to see filled, and then people would try to fill as many of those prompts as possible.
3. Very similar to option #2, but without the prompt nomination. We could have a fest where people browse part two, find prompts they want to fill, and fill them.
4. We could also have no fest at all.
Since Livejournal's polls don't allow you to vote without revealing who you are, I'm trying something new:
