There's them that has and them that wants. Parties on both side will tell you that there are a million paths down, but you'll never really step all the way up. This is, of course, total bullshit.
My client used to want; he told me so in the limousine trip over here. His family grew up in a hole under a railway siding to hear him tell it. He told me in great detail about his gruelling, desperate clamber to the top of the pile.
It's a story I've heard before; I'll hear it again no doubt. I smile anyway, widening my eyes at the appropriate moments to indicate fascination and awe. A soft word. A touch on the leg. A word of admiration. It's what I'm good at.
It's why I'm so popular.
