A Heroes Quest
His feet crunched snow as he trekked further from the last outpost and the wind slapped his face, leaving an unfelt cheery glow. Now, let's see, the quest:
Scale black mountain
Find enchanted chalice
Marry Count's daughter
Sounded easy back at the tavern.
He heard distant rumbling; avalanche?
Stumbling, he fell and felt biting cold against his leg; damn snow in his boots!
"Nah," he said, and turned back.
