The time is twenty two minutes past four in the afternoon
I never sit in the centre
Always at one side or the other
from the field of battle
and so perhaps
am too much of a humour for fire
However, all mildness has its iron limit
I confess I regret to this day
The hot memory of her night's vigil
A desperate resistance
That was long ago
