Puttin' On The Dog!

I spent today at a fundraiser for Adopt A Dog, a local animal rescue. They've been around for over 25 years, saving the lives of dogs (and now cats too). For the last 20 years they've done this great fundraiser, which is basically a community dog show and vendor fair. I volunteered to be a "ring assistant", running one of the show rings. We had

Sounds like a great event. The Humane Society's main fundraiser here is actually an event call "Puttin on the Dog" - a dog/human fashion show.
Really related to your comments about getting another dog. Have an opportunity to bring in another Australian Terrier, a puppy. I just don't think, as adorable as they are, that I want to start with a puppy. Yikes. But, Lizzie adores having dog friends come to visit. I think another dog might be on the horizon, but Lizzie would have to have a "say" in choosing a dog house mate, and it would probably have to be another adult. Will most likely get another cat first though (lost our 18 1/2-year old this summer). Another dog would also mean a new car - can only fit one dog crate in the Camry. So many considerations.... think I am just getting old. Never thought things through this much when I was younger.
