All the writing in black was originally from Berryann's post and I wrote the comments in red...sorry hon, I didn't make that clear.

No, I'm not Polish, I'm Scottish. I've lived in France for 23 years now however.

It's very disappointing the artists who are supporting ACTA! Especially the ones who even wrote freedom music. Unbelievable!

By the way, we Scots have done our share of fighting for freedom in our history.....ever seen the Mel Gibson film Braveheart?? I think that's why the whole issue of freedom being atacked by ACTA and more, the secret way they've tried to get it in, disturbs me enormously.

Thank you hon for reposting my ramblings to your LJ :)

Check this:

Updated 18:21 26/01/2012: The treaty could be on rocky ground -- a French MEP who was designated as responsible for the treaty has quit in protest at how the agreement has passed through the European parliament. Kader Arif issued a statement calling the process "a charade", and denouncing a lack of transparency.

We still have a few months to act and to show them that we won't let them do what they want to do! None of us would like to wake up one day in the Orwell's 1984, right? And that's exactly what ACTA would do to our world....

What I find so abhorrent is the sneakiness of it
If they feel what they are doing is honorable, ie protecting people who are being abused, then why sneak around??
THAT bothers me as much as the CENSORSHIP involved here.
It is all about control.....in its true ugliness.
THAT is detestable in my opinion........
Those who conduct business behind closed doors and under the table are reflective of political hacks in general.
