alright then, so after much deliberation i have decided that i do not want to be around after a nuclear holocaust when there is nothing left but twinkies, coach roaches and maybe a few people in well built radiation shelters

Why would twinkies survive a nuclear holocaust?

i don't know i heard somewhere that twinkies would survive the radiation and still be consumable. if not, it would not be the first time i am wrong

I did some internet researching and I found the twinkies myth about surviving nuclear radiation. I also found one site that talked about twinkies only having a shelf life of about a month, which I tend to believe. I have bitten into some icky twinkies before. Perhaps we should petition Mythbusters to do some experimentation.
