So my talented, fabulous British man has launched a campaign to open a British style fish n' chip shop here in Lawrence, KS. Please take a moment to check it out, if you haven't seen it already.http://www.indiegogo.com/Queen-Lizzys-Fish-and-Chip-Shop?c=home

Do you know if they take the money right away or when the goal is reached?

IndieGoGo takes the money straightaway, which helps him, because the sooner he's got the funding, the sooner he can get everything sorted and the place open. Also, the project's going ahead whether he gets full funding or not - there's some flexibility on what he can do and when. (With Kickstarter, if you don't reach your goal, you don't get any funding at all, so this was the better option for him.)

My hubby sent him a message last night- we want to contribute, but we had a question. Is the opening night invite for one or one and their date? If it's for one, then we'll make 2 smaller contributions so we can both go, but if i's one and a guest, we'll combine our donations :)

That is a really good question, and I don't see any reason why you couldn't do it whichever way you preferred and we would make sure you got two invites, but that is definitely something that should be clarified. I will check with the Brit when he comes home, and let you know for sure. :) Thank you!!

how did he contact me. I didn't seem to get anything from him. At the $100 level the invitation is for the donor +1. I will update that to make it more clear. So yeah, you can bring hubby.

It was thru the donation site. We'll be making our donation tomorrow then - $250 coming your way :)
