This whole wedding thing
Ben bought his wedding outfit today. He got a tannish suit, green shirt and brown Rockport shoes. This is Ben's first suit, and it's a pretty basic, cheapo off-the-rack model, but I think it looks good

I vote for green shoes!
We're going to try to get our trip out there arranged this week, we're hoping to fly into San Fran and drive up, taking our time to sightsee and whatnot (I've never been to the west coast). Hopefully that will work out, it'll be pricy but an awesome vacation I think.
Don't be too concerned about the reception, as long as there is food, music (latin, honkey-tonk, and swing are always awesome), and booze people will be able to take care of themselves. If some sort of entertaining activity comes to mind it wouldn't hurt, but I don't think it's necessary.
Overplanning can sometimes just backfire and cause more stress (because there are always unexpected speedups or delays), so don't try to plan everything down to the minute. The whole thing WILL go awesomely for EVERYONE, because we'll all be there to celebrate you and Ben and have fun.
