Questions: How far away is the dining hall from your apartment? Is it convenient? Would it be, for example, an easy distance away from your classes and/or on your way home from class?
The meal program is good at several dining halls. I think they have 5 dining halls or something. There is at least one on the way to my apartment from my classes.Plus, there are dining dollars in each of the meal plans that you can use at various places like a Dunkin' Donuts & a Starbucks near campus. It's a matter of picking the amount of meals & dining dollars. I think pg. 2 of the brochure has the breakdown.
Well, personally, when I was a freshman at USC, I lived in an campus-owned apartment complex, but they forced us to get a meal plan (one of the smaller flex ones, enough $ for like 3 meals a week whenever/wherever on campus, though technically I could have bought whatever foodwise with that money, like your Dining Dollars). A lot of the times I didn't use it because I cooked a lot of my meals at my apartment, so I kind of thought it was a waste. However, my sophomore to senior years I didn't have a meal plan, but I ended up eating more on campus, esp. my last two years when I commuted, so I had to eat lunch on campus every day at least. I might have benefited from a meal plan then

You're the bomb, Vicky!!!! This was totally helpful. See, I'm an English person, so I tend not to be able to look at stuff logically and what not. So thanks so much for all the input! :) I like what you said, so I think I might be leaning towards the 175 Flex or 10 meal plan. We have 2 weeks (I think) after school starts to change our plans if we want. Thanks!
Will your apartment have a kitchen? B/c that could decide which meal plan you get.
And DAY-UM! That sounds really cool. I think I'd get the dining dollar thing b/c they roll over and you can put more money if you want. Plus, you can make purchases at those places. The only thing though is it doesn't say if you could use it at Weinstein Hall. It looks like that's where the food is.
Well, there's food at all the halls, but as far as the best selction, I dunno. I like the idea of having a higher dining dollar amount and maybe less meal amounts since I have an apartment. Yes, it has a kitchen...I told you like 5 times!!!! I came to pick up the packing styrofoam to pack plates & what not, remember?
I think if you could get a less meals amount (taking into consideration the relative price per meal, too) and also a lower dining dollar amount, that might be good. Because you can always add more dining dollars later on if you want.

Haha. Way to go back to school nerd. Go watch "Revenge of the Nerds" Smell this one nerd!!!! Anyways, you should go for the 225 flex plan. I did a cost analysis and a quick ROI eval and I came up with 225 Flex FTW!!!!! I provided you with a key for my abbreivations.
ROI: return on investment FTW: for the win
The more food the better, that way when we all go there to visit we can eat lunch off of your meal plan...
Rice King, KFC, East Commons and Monty's were the places to eat at State.

Dude, keep your 1-800-dentist & World of Warcraft abbreviations to yourself. lol. And if I forgot to tell you the other day at lunch, nice hat. I told Mark about it & even HE laughed at you. Burn that thing, man...burn it right now. Do you wear it while you play? Does it give you special, magical powers?
