Anyone know who dwkutrkutr is? They added me as a friend and I noticed they had several others from my FL on theirs. I checked out their journal and there are only two entries and they are rather depressing! According to the profile she(?) is only 18 and in school, so I am not sure what the link would be between us there. Anyone know who this is? I

Two of my friends (people I actually know) posted about an LJ phishing scam using a bogus account with only two entries. This account, and others like it, should be reported to the LJ webmasters so it can be deleted. DO NOT ADD THIS ACCOUNT TO YOUR FRIENDS LIST. The popularity of LJ has made it a new spam target, but as long as you don't add the account to your FL, you should be OK. You may also consider making your entire LJ "Friends Only" to keep your information away from these spam scammers.

My LJ is, thankfully friends only, except for perhaps 2 or 3 entries which I purposely left public, so I am not too worried. I figured this was a bit shady, which is why I asked about it first, rather than just added. I have seen quite a few shady characters with the intention to either spam or be trolls in communities I am on, but I rarely have anyone add me out of the blue, especially without contacting me first.

I will probably just follow my gut anyway and ignore the invite. Thanks.

Made public. To be honest, I was at first worried about the user seeing this entry since they have me added, but now I am not so worried. Too many people being friended by people like this. If the want to be my friend, they can email me or comment on my first entry.
