Rising from the past - part 2

So, you may ask, what does all that crap from more than 10 years ago have to do with now? Well, it all started with Cassie posting an anti-bullying message last fall. Sinead just popped out of the woodwork with all kinds of accusations about how Cassie was involved with getting her removed from HPFGU and that Cassie had tried, via HPFGU, to get her ( Read more... )

Urgh, not that old chestnut - it was such a mess!

I miss those fandom days sometimes, esp. since with my teenage reading group and the YA section I see a lot of familiar names, and usually I think of those days with fondness but then I remember all the crazy that was running rampant, too.

I would say it's the same old attention grabbing that reared it's ugly head way back when, only now it's so much more interesting since it is so much more public and the target is more widely known. No one needs that crap.

I wouldn't go that far, Michelle, but I sure wish she'd get some therapy or something. She's definitely not in a healthy place.

When we met Cassie in NY she barely said 2 words to us at lunch and had me wondering why she bothered to come at all. So it's not like we're friends or anything, but I wouldn't wish this crap on anyone. Sinead really needs some serious therapy.

I miss some of those days, too, but I'd never want to go back to all the insanity that ran rampant. Still, HPFGU served it's purpose and I made some great friends along the way. That makes it worth surviving the crazy. :)

I think you're right about the attention part. Why else would anyone drag up stuff that's more than 10 years old and twist it all around?
