Top story on the news the last two days has been "Storm Watch 2009". I doubt this happens anywhere but California; Conan O'Brien noted it when he moved from New York City to Los Angeles. We have the opposite situation in Yorkshire: when the temperature hit 74 degrees back in July, we were on 'Heatwave Alert'. It was in the mid 60s yesterday, and there were men walking around campus in shorts and flip flops.

My main memory of a California Christmas was the scary, scary tule fog. And I wasn't the one who had to drive in it. :-/

It's going to be 80 by Thursday. Stupid bipolar weather.

I'm still so tired. Nia woke me up, excited by the storm. Running, bouncing, talking and telling me all about what's going on outside.

Have a great day, Alizzz... z z z z ...

It's been really rainy the past couple of weeks, which I've been loving, since it never rains enough here.

In October? Does it get more or less rainy throughout the winter?

The weather since I arrived here one year ago:

Last "autumn" = did not feel like autumn. Felt like summer. It did not rain for like, two months.

Last "winter" = did not feel like winter. Felt more like autumn where I'm from. Well into December before it got cold, and only got REALLY cold for a few days. Very little rain.

Spring = I blinked and missed it. It felt like summer. Still not much rain.

Summer = felt like HELL. 100+ every single day and humid as fuck. Rained rarelySept = felt like summer until, appropriately enough, the 22nd, which was the Autumnal Equinox. Starting that week it cooled off a little and started to rain ( ... )
