Ugh, so my old job emailed me my schedule yesterday afternoon. And I start MONDAY. I feel like they could have told me sooner I was not fired. I still do not know what to do, I am trying to figure out if it is humanly possible for me to work 65-67 hours a week and therefore not back out of any promises with anyone. The old job sounds like they are really passive-aggressive, which seems like it would be stressful to put up with. Not mailing you a schedule until two business days before you start is CRAZY.

Thank you! (for saying that but also for reading the brain vomit my journal has been reduced to). Nothing they do over there makes sense. When I called and emailed them to see if I was given summer hours they would not just say "no" they had to mail out a form letter citing budget cuts days later. It probably has a lot to do with why I used to have so much anxiety about work in the past.

it sounds like they don't have a good system in place for assigning classes(?right) to people... if you just tell them you can't do it i doubt they'd be mad, they've probably screwed up other people in the past and gotten the same reaction. you can probably use the time you'd spend there trying to earn $ in other (more productive) ways--like the freelancing you do & etc.
