I have been avoiding this thing for quite some time, due to obvious reasons. But I came across it while organising my hairbrushes, and decided that it would be best to make an entry before Professor Snape noticed that I indeed have a life and gave me a detention for it

Well, I wasn't sure at the time I wrote the entry as to whether or not I would be in attendance, because I didn't know exactly who would be there. And I wouldn't want to go and find out that no one in my age range was around, aside from Quentin, of course - and you know, watching Mother drink herself silly and hang all over her latest beau is only amusing for twelve seconds, if that, and so it would be positively dreadful! But now that I know that you're going - well, I'll see you there. I already had something to wear, in case I changed my mind at the last moment, and I'll wear the earrings as well.

I do feel much better about going, then - we'll just have to make sure we avoid Quentin's older brothers. No offense to Quentin, of course.
