Horrible, really.

After some contemplation, and much setting up if I had decided to take this route, I've decided to pursue Professor Egg. I considered that Summerby, but he's far too low for me. I misjudged him. That should teach me to even think about showing interest in a Hufflepuff, hmm ( Read more... )

I'm sorry, Tracey, but I'm not dirty.
And why can't you keep this shit drivel to yourself? No one, besides your ridiculous group of Slytherin clowns, cares what you have to say.

Mmmhmm.

Well, this is my journal. And judging by the passion with which so many people have reacted, it would seem that several people do care, including you.

Huh, I could've sworn that reaction was due to us all just thinking you're a bloody idiot.

I suppose that you could have, but you would have been wrong. No one cares what an idiot has to say, except perhaps, another idiot.

Oh, that's all right, Tracey. We poor people will manage without your adoration, somehow.

Well, since you're capable of managing without so much else, I'm far from shocked that one more thing added to the heap wouldn't affect you.

Well, that's ... certainly one way to look at it. But I do wish you'd consider the point of these journals, which was to foster inter-house relationships, and your insulting other Houses certainly doesn't do that, now does it? Perhaps you can think it over in detention on Saturday.

I object to this! Who ever told you that was the point? I don't recall reading anything about inter-house relationships on that sheet over the summer. There are several other purposes that these journals could have. I'll be asking Professor Snape about that, Eli.

Ten points from Slytherin, Tracey.

For what, exactly? So that I might know for the next time which opinions I am and am not allowed to voice due to the ridiculous oversensitivity of my peers.

For excessive rudness, and also to remind you that your words do have consequences.

Well, I'm glad to be in preschool again.

Perhaps Gryffindor should lose some points - I find Jordan Andrews' insults to Slytherin to be excessively rude, as well. That is, if you intend upon being fair.

Hm, I'm not so sure you know me, Tracey, but I'm sure you know my brother, Ethan. And I don't think I really appreciate your comments about Gryffindors being dirty - I am very clean, thank you very much. Are you sure you're not just jealous that we boys are showing more interest in Melissa and Cathy Miles, than you? Tsk, don't be jealous - it's not your fault you're not as good looking...

Well, I wasn't being literal, Worthington.

Excuse me, I'm too busy bursting into hysterics to even consider the second part of that moronic statement.

Oh, well, if you meant metaphorically dirty, then yes, I really am. But I still maintain that you're jealous, little pretty! Don't worry, maybe they can make you over.

Obviously that's what I meant. Just look at the context, really.

Oh, please.

While I appreciate your somewhat backhanded compliment, Tracey, I would be more appreciative if you'd not speak of my brother in such terms. And I can assure you that, while Ethan might not always like his brother, he'd disagree on the 'dirty' comments you made.

I'll not be taking points from Slytherin for this post - I'm not a Gryffindor, after all - but I'll not be giving any to make up for the deduction, either.

See that you censor your opinions a bit more thoroughly next time, if you please.

I said nothing about your brother, only that I would prefer you to him. I said most Gryffindor boys. I don't know enough about him to speak in his favour, either, so really, Heathcliff, I think that you're overreacting.

Of course, I'm not attempting to stir up things more than they already have been - people are far too sensitive, really - but I don't see why I should be forced to refrain from stating something simply because someone disagrees with it.
