It was a constant throbbing pain. Enough that I could barely even sleep. Of course, I broke my one wisdom tooth in half because I grind my teeth in my sleep so it might have been a different pain than you have. The dentist gave me Tylenol 2 and an antibiotic and I feel fine now.
I so far have had only a little aching where the wisdom teeth are coming in. I have to have them removed next year, but no extreme pain thus far. sorry your hurting manda, and sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
I got mine removed a year ago because i go to the dentist twice a year and she told me it was that time. i didnt have any pain, but i got em out early. it was lots of fun because i got 40 vicodin and those lasted me like 2 weeks. mmmmmmm.
i got three of my wisdom teeth taken out about two years ago. when they'd hurt coming in, i'd just take some tylonel or something.
when i got them removed, i didn't go under. instead, i just got a TON of nitrous oxide & novicane. it was awesome because the ceiling tiles were swirling together.
