Why I miss my work

One of the top executives at my former place of employment personally recommended me to a friend of his for a job at another firm.  I spoke less than 10 times to this man, but obviously somewhere along the lines he thought I was a good employee.  I wanted to thank him for considering me when his friend asked him for a recommendation
