Dear Kelly D,

We turned the heaters on this week, and though I'm not wearing socks, it's only because I haven't been able to muster up enough determination to treck the 6 flights of stairs down into the basement to get my winter clothes, and back up again. The skies here have been grey since I got back from Dubai on Sunday, and as it is September and Germany, I don't expect this to change for a month or so. Blech. Anyway, just wanted to commiserate with you about this weather whilst wishing you an otherwise happy and successful semester. And congrats on getting through all those extra courses! Having loyally followed your account of the past year, it's incredible to think that you got through all the academic cram when you had so many adventures going on. Cheers.
