Fic: (sort of) And I Am There (SGA, John/Rodney)
So, I've decided I just need to get over myself.
Back when the whole movie fusion/plagiarism kerfuffle flared up, I was just about ready to post my own fusion, one based on the movie Stigmata. It was a film I loved watching, and a story I loved writing very, very much. So when the discussion started, I freaked out, and freaked out hard. I didn't know what to do, but I finally decided that I'd share it with people who asked for it. I thank everybody who took the time to read it then, and everybody who was patient with my over-the-top reaction.
Anyway. I was being ridiculous. So I've put it up on my webpage, for anyone who might have any lingering urge to read it.
Title: And I Am There
Pairing: John/Rodney, minor Rodney/OMC
Rating: PG-13 for some violence
Summary: John's vocation takes him all over the world in search of miracles. He doesn't expect to find much when he's sent to interview Rodney McKay, a man apparently afflicted with the Stigmata--the wounds of Christ. Instead, he finds much, much more than he ever dreamed.
Notes: An Atlantis fusion with the movie Stigmata. You can think of this as an unauthorized novelization of the movie script, with it modified to fit the Atlantis characters. Dialogue heavily drawn from that of Tom Lazarus and Rick Ramage; if it's a religious explanation, 'original' characters speaking, or a plot-turning conversation, it's probably theirs. However, I've added a lot of my own stuff, so it's not simply copy and paste. 30,000 words. Contains religious elements that some may find blasphemous.
