Dude, get one! You've got a great yard for him...you even have a fenced in area until you're confident he'll come to you off the leash. Valley forge is a short drive, with tons of dog friendly zones. The only remaining question is if you can afford a dog. So if you can, then go out and get one. The only downside is that if you get a dog you'll have to keep the house super clean or the puppy will eat anything on the floor.
