You know, I actually read the Sandman at one point. I only liked the ones that Jill Thompson drew. Some of the other art was kinda freaky. Lovely illustration though. Did you do that with your tablet?
Jill Thompson's the one who did the Death: At Death's Door manga-style follow-up, right?
It's true that I'm reading Sandman more for its intriguing story than the art, which mostly isn't my kind of thing. However, sometimes a particular panel will catch my eye, a particular tilt to a character's face or something like that, and I'll think, "I need to learn how to draw that," so I pull out my tablet and start doodling and practicing in Facebook's Graffiti drawing application until I get it right. ^_^
Thanks! No, I haven't written anything in a while now; I've been reading in some new fandoms though, and since one of them is WayneCrane batslash, your icon makes me smile. :)
If you are referring to Hippolyta, the daughter of Wonder Woman and ... um, someone, I haven't read far enough in Sandman yet, then yes, she was one of the references for the other graffitis, along with Death, Desire, and even Dream (for the red one). The main ref for this purple one was Desire, though.
Oh, and sorry for the late reply; school just started again. Woohoo.

The girl is Superman's secret daughter with Wonder Woman, right? I can't quite remember the comic.
Happy 2008 to you too! :)
