I have now watched many films, and come to the conclusion that in any fight, one should kill the people with the more complicated hats first.

I suspect this also applies to Steampunk conventions

Actually the rule at Steampunk conventions is that the people with the largest and most elaborate hats always stand between me and whatever I'm trying to watch/get to.
