Man that is a terribly hard question. Why it has been bugging me forever too!:-) I guess they can speed going from neighborhood to neighborhood.

But are cops allowed to pull them over? I mean, the mailman is a government official... does he have certain immunities? If I was a cop, I would pull over mailmen to show them that just because they work for the government doesn't mean they can forego laws.
