Haha, I just find it interesting that our interpretation of those three together is so similar. I mean, it shouldn't surprise me, and if it's a popular interpretation, then it probably means there's room for me to write my story, too.
Although who knows when I'll get around to it. I say it's next on my list, but it's a long ass list and things tend to shift around depending on my mood.
That song idea is cool!! I've thought about writing a "concept fic" before (kind of like a twist on concept albums, except I would be writing an entire fic using an album tracklist as my chapter guide, meaning that the story would sorta-kinda reflect the overall feel/theme of the album) -- but for some reason I never thought to shuffle the songs! That's awesome that you got a decent list. I have a feeling mine might be so very, very weird & random that I would have a difficult time tying everything together. But you never know until you try, I guess!
It was the only thing in that book that really resonated with me. But trust me, my list is random, too. Everything from Hidell to Led Zeppelin, haha. But several that were surprisingly well suited to that particular story popped up. And really, it's pretty open as far as how to use the songs. The book gave the example of interpreting the title itself as a prompt, but I figure I'll be more likely to pick out a lyric or two that really fit. I already have a very rough outline, which means I shouldn't be too far away from writing the thing, although I would like to finish something else first...
