whitewashing? like that powderpaint that's super cheap but if you bush against it when it's dry it rubs off on you?
Try getting off a plane and being told right at the gate your next flight's been cancelled. that was 8am.. next flight.. 4pm.. i have no money with me. I get on waiting list. run out of room.. next flight 6pm.. get into Jersey at 11pm.. get to Toms River at midnight. Mind you, I had woken up at 3am to catch my first flight. And i didn't really have much to eat. I WAS STARVING!!
whitewash is a chalky water used waaaay back in the olden days, as it was cheap. It looked nice and bright, and if the walls got dirty, you'd just lay on another coat, instead of cleaning them. The downside was that it would rub off on anything that touched it. =\
And yeah, snow is cold. Imagine that. I wouldn't know about that, living in Nebraska and all, I'll just leave you Floridan experts to determine the colditude of snow (what with me wearing shorts in the snow and all).
So snow in a thin jacket is cold? That explains it all.
And you'll fly to see people in New York but not drive a couple of hours to see me, I'm hurt. Admittedly it's in an entirely superficial way that will disappear soon enough, but still it's the principle of the thing.
