Did you try asking at the tattoo parlor if you could get more hours and/or raise your pay...? The old man probably would be able to do something for you...Might even be willing to train you how to do his work, and you'd get more money if you could ink your own work...

Heh heh~~ The old man may be gruff and kind of ornery, but I recommended you to work with him for a reason.....Afaitu-san's been a lonely old man for a while now...and you've left more of an impression on him than you think~~ So just talk to him...It's what you've been doing around him so far, and it helped...
