The first set is not new, indeed, I just played with them so you have probably seen some of these. I had to post them because he would not have forgiven me writing about feathered goodness and excluding him from the rendezvous.

A little of own monstrosity )

Your little monster is so photogenic. He looks so good in black and white too! I love the way you write about them too. You make me want to actually come and meet them! (Or have one for myself, but I wouldnt know how to care for a bird, having only ever had cats and dogs before, and I wouldnt be able to afford them anyway, they are SO expensive)

You are right that parrots are expensive, especially when you're unfortunate enough to need the vet for something else than preventive annual check-ups. Birds need a specialized avian vet, and a specialized vet means lot of money. But they are so worth it. When you imagine that with good care, you have literally a buddy for life ... no getting to love them and losing them as with rodents or even cats and dogs. These big guys can become 50+ year old seniors :)
The more shadowy part of the subject ;) is that once you get infected by the parrot virus, your life gets a whole new dimension and you won't ever excape it anymore :)

Rabbits are pretty boring, compared to parrots. They're not talking to you, you can't have much fun with them.. But hey, we fell in love at the petstore!

Here a piece I wrote someone before, because I wrote on the same lines whenever someone asks me and I'm starting to get lazy ;)
He's potty-trained so he knows he's only allowed to do his need at certain spots, and I have newspaper under his favorite perching places so that an eventual accident doesn't go on the carpet (fun cleaning up). In 99% cases, he says that he needs to go and friendly allows me to place him above the nexspaper if he's somewhere else :D (see, a Grey is his royal majesty, the highness. He knows very well WHERE to do it, but he won't bother to actually go there himself ( ... )

Somehow, it just makes me very giggly, especially those two TAG's. They are smaller than Aswa who's not a Timneh but a Congo, and just ... I don't know. Something about them in the picture where they sit together in the cage makes them look so wonderfully naughty :>

Your Greyster sounds like an absolute sweetheart. I would love to meet you both. It's a shame you both live so far away! x
