IT'S SO GOOD. I'm almost caught up, too. Only about 20-30 chapters left.
I watched the first episode or two, but the animation style/ character designs kinda bothered me. Is it good enough to try again?

I'm not sure what you like in anime, but Air Gear is a personal favorite of mine. The plotline in the anime differs only slightly from that in the manga, but basically, the anime's lure is in specific scenes which are just... RIDICULOUSLY epic. So fer me, it's worth it. :D
